Mary Gillian Vellet, RMT
Mary Gillian initially trained in fine art, dance, and art therapy. A series of sports injuries, including a dislocated knee and disc herniation led her into rehabilitative processes such as, swimming, Pilates strengthening/stretching, Myofascial Massage Therapy, Athletic Therapy, Chiropractic and Osteopathic realignment. As a result of her own healing process, she is passionate about helping other people self-care and re-vitalize in order to live a more energetic life of purpose.
She has 10 years of registered Massage Therapy experience which focuses on self-care, therapeutic, and sports massage in her practice.
Her integrative approach uses a light to moderate pressure applying Swedish, Myofascial, Positional Release, Meridian Stretches, Diaphragmatic Breathing, Hydrotherapy, Manual Lymph Drainage, and Essential Oils. The addition of certain Essential Oils helps to more effectively detox cells, skin, brain, and energy body. Her approach increases blood and lymphatic circulation; reduces pain and inflammation; harmonizes the nervous system; enhances flexibility and athletic recovery.
